Slitting / Banding Lines

Many of Durmech customers are requesting equipment that have a high level of automation from the time the coil is available for uncoiling through to removal of slit coil on the recoiler. We offer a complete line covering slitting and banded coils fully automated.

Capacities of equipment are:

Coil Weight - 5000 to 35000 kg

Strip Width - 300 to 2000 mm

Strip Thickness - 0.1-15mm

Durmech/Bigwood Development

For many years and before our competitors realised the benefit, Durmech lines have been equipped with traversing triple head slitter which offer the quickest and most reliable method of tool changing.

Programmable Slitting head

Where the number of slit strands can be kept to five or less, a programmable slitting head can be offered which does not require tool changing to change the width of the slit strands. The width changing is motorised automatically according to a pre programmed schedule.
